Yes, it has been 6 months since my last post and I have been very, very busy. I am still developing my porcelain shopping bags and also working on some other plastic bag work that I can post up here shortly.
There was a pause in my work for a couple of weeks due to Winter break, Christmas, New Years, and some personal issues that emerged recently, but last night I started building some stretcher bars, and I also just prepped some paper with gesso for an oil painting that I will be starting tonight. This week, also, I will be working like an animal from 9 to 5 at my job at my favorite art supply store, Utrecht Art Supplies! On top of all that, I am making appointments to find a new apartment to keep a roof over my starving student head for next semester.
I have also hooked up with a hip new collective in town, The Charm School Collective, and I will be working with them to build a website and blog to get the word out about the opening of our inaugural show that is coming up on January 22nd, a little more than 2 weeks away!
I managed to pull straight A's last semester, (I got an A- which was negated by an A+. Whoo!) and got myself into the UC Berkeley Honor's Studio program for Spring 2011. On April 27th, 2011, we will have the opening for our semi-annual show at UC Berkeley's Worth Ryder Gallery.
At both shows, we have have an array of delicious food, vegan and otherwise, and beer and wine of various qualities. Needless to say, I am filled with excitement and anticipation over everything that is going on, and I hope to fix this layout and and become more dedicated to updating. I always say that, but don't we all?
