So, I haven't blogged since before I started going to U.C. Berkeley!
And I probably won't anymore for the most part. My website is also down.
I need to make a new layout and a new lots of things, I also need to photograph my work and stuff.
Um. Cool.
As far as how its been, I passed all my classes last semester and the plants I bought before I left Sacramento are growing so pretty! Even in Winter it amazes me.
Anyway, I think that I am going to try to go in an environmental direction with my work. (just like a lot of other people right now I guess.) But by using found materials I think that that is something inherently environmental, just because you take this thing that someone is throwing away and then its like ... "Woah now its art."
I always get excited when people use thrown-away objects and make them useful again, like using 100 plastic bags to create one super-durable reuseable bag. I'm pretty interested in taking throw-away objects and making them useful, but also turning them into 'art' which may or may not render them useless.
I'm also taking an environmental sociology class this semester which is giving me insight into dominant social paradigms- stuff that artists often think about while working from time to time.
I dunno I was just thinking about stuff. I also have a real diary that I write in now. I might buy a nice camera and start a food blog with my friend.
It seems more appropriate and useful to do that.
Also, I will eventually put my website back up for portfolio purposes I just have no money right now.
