Updates.

Hello, world!

My summer has been lovely and I feel as though I am making great progress in the exploration of new materials. I have been fusing plastic shopping bags into large tapestries, although I am not sure what kinds of scenes I will put on them. I am also working on a ceramic bag installation project (image of a finished bag above.)

I am trying to make this blog look nice, but it is taking much longer than expected. I am also working on my portfolio website at katattack.org, and it's looking good also!

I am currently taking ceramics and undertaking a few very interesting projects!

ready to be bisqued!
Glazing.... (this is actually a different bag from the one above.)
Finished after glaze firing. How lovely!

Here are some images I took of my in-progress fox/wolf cloak project thingy! The nose is a bit too small, but at least it no longer looks like a pig's head like it did when I started it on Friday!
sorry about the cell phone pictures! I'll get better ones in the future hopefully!

The fox/wolf cloak piece is going to go with my coat of many colors picture. I am planning on making a plaster mold of the cloak and then using paper pulp as the final product. I am really happy with it so far, especially since it is my first adventure in making something (with my hands!) out of clay. also, it looks much nicer in person. I will take really nice pictures of the finished product when I'm done.

Please enjoy my website, and the blogging updates to come.
